Buyer Map: Autonomous Cleaning Robots, Sparkoz

Prepared for Dan Murphy | Sparkoz | October 2026

As of counts read 1 Oct 2026 from public federal files

Sparkoz sells autonomous floor cleaning robots into the seven settings on its solution pages, and recruits resellers on its partnership page. This page counts the places and organizations behind six of those settings across the US, with Texas and California, where your offices are, broken out. Offices, the seventh, are covered through the people who run them. Every number comes from public federal files.

Public school districts in the US

13,200

Regular local districts running at least one school. 910 of them enroll 10,000 or more students.

Texas and California districts

1,020 and 990

About 110 in Texas and 150 in California enroll 10,000 or more students.

Commercial service airports

500

Public airports with scheduled passenger service and at least 2,500 boardings in 2025. 64 are large or medium hubs.

Janitorial service locations

67,800

Businesses paid to clean buildings for others, from home cleaning services to large commercial contractors. At least 1,590 have 100 or more employees.

Who buys, setting by setting

Each row is a setting from your solution pages, or the resellers your partnership page recruits. The rows count different things, districts in one, locations in another, so read each number on its own and never add them together.

Districts and airports are counted as organizations. Every other row counts locations with paid employees, so a chain with 200 stores counts 200 times. The distributor row is a wider wholesale group that holds janitorial and sanitation supply houses alongside laundry, beauty and other service equipment suppliers, so not every one sells cleaning equipment. Hospitals run by a government are not in the hospital row. The parking row counts businesses that run lots and garages for a fee, not every garage: one run by a hospital, an airport, a city or a landlord is not in it. The janitorial row runs from home cleaning services to large commercial contractors. We found no federal count of office buildings that matches a buyer, so the roles below stand in for them. The roles are typical for each setting, not counted.

The people in the roles

Jobs on a payroll in Texas and California. A national figure is not shown here.

Facilities managers

About 11,500 in Texas and about 18,600 in California. They often hold the decision in offices, plants and campuses, and they are among the audience at the facilities shows on your events page.

Supervisors of cleaning crews

About 14,800 in Texas and about 16,100 in California. First-line supervisors of housekeeping and janitorial workers, often the people who schedule the cleaning a robot would share.

Janitors and cleaners

About 182,000 in Texas and about 238,000 in California. The crews a robot works alongside, counted so the size of the floor work in each state is visible.

Where the openings are

School buyers can be listed in full.

Your events page shows Sparkoz in front of school business officials in Texas and California. Those two states hold 2,010 districts between them, about 270 with 10,000 or more students, and every one is named in a public federal directory, so the list does not depend on who visits the booth.

Contractors work inside buildings they do not own.

67,800 janitorial service locations, at least 1,590 of them with 100 or more employees, 130 in Texas and 180 in California. A contractor can buy for its own crews, and those crews already work inside buildings that others own.

The largest sites are a short list.

64 large and medium hub airports and 910 districts with 10,000 or more students make a list short enough to work account by account.

Denominators, definitions and sources

  1. School districts are regular local school districts in the federal school district directory for the 2022 to 2023 school year, read through a public education data portal, 50 states and DC, that operate at least one school, including districts the directory files as part of a supervisory union (all of Vermont's, 33 in New York City and 10 in California, each counted on its own). Charter-only, regional and state-run agencies are left out. Enrollment is as the directory reports it.
  2. Airports are commercial service airports, public airports with at least 2,500 boardings a year, in the federal list of passenger boardings for calendar 2025, 50 states and DC. Large and medium hubs follow that list's own hub labels.
  3. Plants, stores, hospitals, parking and janitorial services are establishments in the federal annual count of business establishments by industry, 2023 state file. An establishment is one physical location with payroll. Size is payroll employees at the location in mid-March 2023. The file withholds some size counts to protect individual businesses, so a figure marked at least is a floor.
  4. People in the roles are from the federal occupational employment survey, May 2024, state files. The survey counts jobs on a payroll, rounded by the survey itself, and leaves out the self-employed.
  5. Settings are as listed on sparkoz.com on 1 Oct 2026. Every figure is computed from one of the federal data sets described above. Figures over 100 are rounded on purpose, and none is the size of any one opportunity.

The named version of this page, the actual districts, airports, contractors and sites inside a row, is built one row at a time. Reply on the thread, or write to my colleague Matthew, who is your point of contact from here: matthew@enquirerai.com.
